The middle building is the Fairmont San Jose Hotel, where we stayed, seen from the front of the convention center. A very short walk, and the weather was just fantastic. (went to dinner at a good mexican place across the street that night, and sat outside on one of the most beautiful nights I can remember. well, ok, i was on a really nice date, so maybe my judgment was a bit biased. :) There are restaurants everywhere. good italian lunch followed by great mexican dinner followed by steve and I stuffing ourselves on a sushi lunch. This is just so incredibly better than New York. They should have them all in san jose or shift the east coast one to someplace reasonable like, say, baltimore.
