Fairmont San Jose Hosts Inaugural San Jose Craft Cocktail Challenge

The Fairmont San Jose hosted our inaugural San Jose Craft Cocktail Challenge benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Million Dollar Mission this past Friday, March 13. San Jose bartenders and mixologists competed in an exciting battle of muddlers and shakers for a chance to win the top honor “Best Overall – Judge’s Choice” selected by a panel of local judges. Our top honor went to Jaime Jimenez, pictured, from The Grill on The Alley, who mixed up a refreshing cocktail called “The Techie.” A “People’s Choice” award was selected by event attendees and granted to the events most popular libation, the “Passion Fruit Balsamic Shrub Cocktail,” from bartender Samuel Reyes with Scott’s Seafood. All event proceeds benefit the Million Dollar Mission, a partnership between The California Hotel & Lodging Association and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to raise $1,000,000 to find a cure for blood cancer. The Fairmont San Jose has pledged to raise $10,000 toward the mission.
