Wedding Anniversary Vacation at the Fairmont Orchid, October 17-22, 2016

We celebrated our Honeymoon in Oahu, Maui, and Kauai and thoroughly enjoyed this Paradise Adventure together. And . . . thirty-five years later, we wanted to commemorate our wedding anniversary on The Big Island.

We chose to enjoy our time at the Fairmont Orchid and were very pleased we did! We liked our room's views of the Pacific Ocean and the North Golf Course from the Kohala (North) Tower. We hiked along the beach from the Coconut Grove, past the Turtle Point, along the nearby roads and paths, and to see the Petroglyphs.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning and a special farewell dinner at Brown's Beach House. Every meal was delicious "Hawaiian fare," with many fresh, healthy options. We liked swimming in the big pool, snorkeling in Pauoa Bay, and relaxing in the "Hidden Whirlpool."

We departed with a deep collective sigh, so glad for this relaxing week. We will treasure our memories of colorful sunsets, awesome starry nights, breezes through palm fronds, relaxing warmth, and many options for exploring the Big Island. Idyllic!
