25th Wedding Anniversary

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a 6 night stay the Fairmont Orchid, after 3 nights on Oahu. We stayed on the Gold Level, which we highly recommend. So convenient to have the continental breakfast and evening appetizers each day. We will not know how to act without the sound of waterfalls when we get home.

We had dinner one night at Brown's Beach House; an excellent meal and a great view. Traveled to Wiamea for dinner at Merriman's one night; another great meal. Don't miss breakfast at the Hawaiian Style Café, also in Waimea. Great banana macadamia nut pancakes. My wife bought some jewelry as a souvenir at jewelry store at Queen's MarketPlace just up the road.

Enjoyed helicopter tour of Kohala Coast; so many waterfalls that I lost count. Good tour of the Kona side of the island on the way to tour the volcano; go at night to see the red glow at its brightest.

Loved the pool at Orchid--spent several days doing nothing but swimming and reading.
