Water Conservation at The Fairmont Dallas

In January 2011, City of Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) unveiled a major public awareness and education campaign to help Dallas hotels, motels and restaurants conserve water. Mayor Tom Leppert announced the expansion of DWU’s highly successful campaign, “Save Water: Nothing Can Replace It” to the hospitality industry in Dallas. The Fairmont Dallas was the first hotel to partner with the city on this initiative.Jeff Floyd, Director of Engineering at The Fairmont Dallas, spoke at a news conference on January 12, announcing our partnership and the launch of an initiative at the hotel to begin serving water only upon request at Pyramid Restaurant & Bar as well as during meetings and events held at the hotel.

It takes a collective effort to create a meaningful focus on environmental issues and The Fairmont Dallas looks forward to a successful collaboration with the City of Dallas to make greater strides in water conservation.
