Chipotle Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

• • 1 qt Whole Milk
  • 1 ea Vanilla Bean split in half and seeds scraped
  • 3 ea Cinnamon Stick
  • 3 ea Star Anise Pods
  • 2ea Dried Chipotle Peppers
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Dark Chocolate

Preparation

1. • Combine the milk, cinnamon sticks, star anise, vanilla and chipotle peppers in a covered container and let stand overnight in the refrigerator.
   • The next day, bring the milk and all the ingredients to just below a simmer over medium heat.
   • Add the chocolate coins and stir vigorously and remove from the heat.
   • Strain the chocolate and serve in appropriate mugs.
