Bubbling Blood

Ingredients

• • 1 750 ml bottle of Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2 cups orange juice (not from concentrate)
  • 1 cup whole cranberries, rinsed
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 medium orange, washed very well
  • 2 tablespoons whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 cup Ketel One Oranj

1. 1. Add wine, orange juice, cranberries, and sugar to a pot over medium heat stir to help dissolve sugar. (do not boil)
   2. Stud orange with the cloves and add that plus the cinnamon sticks to the pot, turn heat to medium-low and stir until the berries are tender.
   3. Turn heat to low, remove orange and cinnamon sticks. Gently press on cranberries to release juices
   4. Add vodka. Taste and add additional sugar to your liking.
   5. Ladle into mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick, an orange slice, and/or fresh cranberries if desired.
