California Dreamin'

Ever since I was a little girl, all I dreamed about was being a movie star. Sadly the dream never came true, but my trip to California was the next best thing. I arrived in the City of Angels with two of my best friends in the world and we were escorted to our hotel; the Fairmont Miramar in sunny Santa Monica! We were treated like movie stars from the moment we rolled through the classic gates and saw the most glorious, old fig tree demanding attention. My favorite part was our balcony. I normally love to sleep in but every morning I'd get up early and just sit there, feeling the sun warm up my skin while I stared at the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean and the gentle palm trees. I felt such an inner peace and forgot all about the troubles I had left at home. I was living the life of luxury I had always dreamed.
