A Fantasy to be lived...FAIRMONT BAB AL BAHR--ABU DHABI--May 2013
Learn more about Fairmont Bab Al Bahr or make a booking.
Our last weekend stay in Fairmont Abu Dhabi was so lovely, that we decided to come back to same area again since it is our last chance to enjoy laying on beach prior extreme hot season …
Again, we booked nearby Fairmont, Bab al Bahr and took advantage of our “President’s Club” membership- we got upgraded to a breathtaking Ocean view suite overlooking the Ritz Carlton complex & imposing Sheikh Zayed Grand mosque…
Our suite had an integral glass wall facing right to ocean which gives an open space feeling—something like a real life movie..
When you stick right on its edge, you feel like flying over the entire area…
We relaxed watching the panoramic scene while peeking inside people’s lives—we were seeing without being seen- we became intruders overlooking everything happening within eye sight—in fact:
Sport boats & yachts were cruising through the lively sea canal constantly…
Couples on Jet-skis were racing across the waves leaving streams of white foam…
Sexy ladies were tanning on beach, few were jumping on mid-sea’s floating island trampoline, and others were kayaking around,…
Right below our room, you witness “Maldives-style” bungalows floating on shallow waters—it is indeed a Moet et Chandon champagne-bar and an occasional romantic café for locals & tourists who want to mingle in privacy! –
Keeping people’s privacy aside, we minded our own business—and enjoyed hotel provided amenities & services;
We got our butler & 24/24 valet who parked our brand new Lexus SUV in a shaded prime location just at hotel main entrance…
Our bar has a coffee brewer, prime spirits & a filled ice bucket…
A bathroom fitted with ultramodern rain shower & sophisticated massage bathtub sented with Oud/Rose & separated totally from toilet—aside, a double make-up room with bathing-robes…
As an additional innovation: we had black & white slippers and complete sports gear (shirt/short/shoes) tailored for Rita’s size & mine—
(They got our size upon booking- through our web “President Club’s” profile)
We browsed the various entertainment channels and played Celine Dion’s on Hi-Fi all over our suite,,,
Waltzed by the tunes, we started dancing while filming ourselves around bathroom to bed…
We extended the romantic mood by sharing champagne & other cocktail drinks to our love, good health & fantastic moments together---
Our encounters were spiced by “Chevas Regal” and blessed by God’s elixir wine …
Quickly; we guided each other to the comfortable bed and unleashed our imagination to go wild in the sea of Bab al Bahr!
We became the Pirates of the Caribbean with our own twist; ”Captain Morgan” got awaken and steered her exquisite vessel bravely through roaring waves unmooring across loud piercing windward & leeward …
Her stunning deck went up & down trusting her skipper to tackle the wild hurricanes with his usual agility & smoothness…
She invited him to rock the boat the way he wants, going forward through the bow and then aft towards the stern jumping from upper deck to lower deck in his talented dexterity & swiftness ,,,
The magnificent Ship was shaken port beam & starboard navigating topside & below towards triumphing big shakes and explosions of desire & inclination…
The audacious maiden voyage ended as always, safely docking in a calm sea of pure pleasure and delights…
She magically turned from mighty ship to a sensual petite mermaid who embraced her beloved Captain in frenzy & admiration…
Both anchored on a fantasy island dream called “Fairmont” and they dozed elated in each other’s arms ecstatically…
We woke up mesmerized--and went swimming to rejuvenate in the fountain of youth…
There were no pirates at large, and no mermaids anymore, just an animated beachfront fading with sunset through a dark blue night caressed by a warm moonlight.
We were the only couple still mesmerizing in water although supervised by Fairmont’s lifeguard who insisted on keeping an eye on us since guests should clear the sea by 7pm…
He was worried of potential attacks by ocean creatures in open sea—
Rita invited me to join some colleagues for dinner…
We limited our social events to a minimum and kept the night young for ourselves alone…We strolled around the hotel, discovering slowly this architectural Gem…Rita is the Gem of my life anyway and little I needed other people & places to make my time brighter!!
Fairmont Bab al Bahr is an oasis of good taste and colors (we are talking about the hotel…& Rita too!!)—going from pool gardens illumination, to stairs up to the a splendid open lobby decorated in asymmetric patterns combination of steel, wood, leather, ceramic, carpet , and even chairs made out of ropes!!
Lusters are like jellyfish extending down deep from above which gives a feeling that you are submerged by the ocean swimming beneath like fish…
Back to internal decoration, we admired the tasty furnishing, wall & floor finishing with modern unusual shapes lit through constant changing pastel colors, and decorated nice paintings.
It is far from being the nicest hotel since we have been in hundreds of lavish ones with majestic decoration but still we notice those small details and love the special touches which make our stay nicer...
Needless to mention that human touch and personnel behavior remains the most important factor—Fairmont rates excellent on that --
Let’s get back to our romantic tour if you don’t mind since we will be covering travel reports and adventures elsewhere;
Rita & I walked hand in hand through it all capturing the moments on my Samsung SIII seizing great shots of each other at pool, beach, and lobby, hugging and kissing everywhere--- then we went back in our romantic room for more “ great shots”……and slept in each other’s arms until late morning…
Although next day was quite windy, we enjoyed eating outdoors and met some friends. who introduced us to his friendly children…
Breakfast was nice and provided quality & good selection…
We relaxed a little on the windy beach, and watched neighboring big umbrellas flying through the area, then swam around the pool which varies from shallow to shady, to showery, to quite deep for divers, to a Jacuzzi overlooking ocean ending in a fantastic cozy Pool Bar…
It was time to leave but we decided to come back often for long weekends in this Fairmont Island of peace & love……
It was short, but we made most of it spending every single minute joyfully & lovingly with continuous romance…
It was our third consecutive weekend in a raw together this month of May; still we agreed to meet again a week later for more loving memories…
We leave our footprints everywhere, some smiles, lot of good spirit, great loving memories….
