Molly & Josh Moongate Wedding: "We thought the beach was what we wanted, but after seeing the Hamilt

My Mom booked us in at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess so we could check out places for the wedding. We had several meetings lined up for many beach front resorts.

Before heading out one day, we went to the Gold Lounge and chatted at the lady that was working the desk and told her our plans for the day. She told us to call Bior ( the wedding Specialist there) and set up a time to meet with her and learn about the Fairmont Weddings. We decided to meet with her since we were already staying at the hotel but had no intentions of getting married anywehre but the beach. The meeting went really great and Bior told me there was a wedding going on that weekend and we should check it out.

I am so happy we did, because from the moment I saw this wedding, I knew the place was perfect. Everything just came out beautiful and there was the most amazing sunset over the bay after the couples ceremony.

When I came home from our wedding planning trip I knew I had to convince my husband to be that the Fairmont Hamilton princess was the right choice. He also wanted a beach front wedding and we both thouth we had our minds made up, but he trusted my judgment when I told him I knew the Fairmont Hamilton Princess would be perfect for us and also for our guests. Our wedding was on May 29th, 2010 and our close family and friends attended the wedding. When we arrived at the hotel, Josh knew right away why I chose the hotel . When I walked out on the Harbour Suite Terrace before the Ceremony, I could not believe how beautiful everything turned out, just beyond what I imagined. Our dinner was amazing and our cake was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. The Chef on site made our cake from a picture I gave him and it turned out so good you swear you would have seen it in a wedding magazine.

Although I found some beautiful beach front resorts, It just didn’t compare to the Fairmont Hamilton’s beautiful hotel and 5 star service. I  I believe the Fairmont’s are the only hotels in Bermuda that offer you a wedding specialist and it make a difference. All other resorts pretty much said we where on our own in terms of planning. I really wanted to have the comfort of having someone guide us through the process since we live in the USA. Bior was great every stepof the way and our wedding was beyond our imagination. She is such a great source of information and her facebook page kept us inspired and excited about out wedding planning.

Not only is the Fairmont beautiful, but its close to downtown, the Gold lounge amenities are worth its weight in gold, the beautiful harbour gives you a picturesque setting and the people are the friendliest on the island. If you choose your wedding at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess or even stay there you will not regret it. We plan on coming back to Bermuda every year to celebrate!
