Congratulations on your wedding! What made you decide on having your wedding with us at Fairmont?
The location, view, availability and customer service experience were our top reasons in selecting to have our wedding at the Fairmont.
Where did you have your ceremony?
Our ceremony was on an intimate balcony and our reception was held adjacent in the beautiful Lanai room.
Tell us about the flowers you chose. Did you go traditional or contemporary?
Our flower selection was traditional. We selected an ivory and white color palette and utilized mainly roses and hydraneas. We chose stephanotis for the bridal bouquet.
Tell us about the meal you served your guests. What type and flavor cake did you have at your reception?
Our meal selection was beef tenderloin, buttermilk crusted chicken, and potato gnocchi. Our cake was by Katrina Rozelle. It was a lemon and strawberry chiffon cake with buttercream frosting. Everyone enjoyed the food!
Where did you go on your honeymoon? Tell us about it.
We opted to stay at the Fairmont for our honeymoon. We enjoyed their spa services to include facials, massages, manicures and pedicures. We also enjoyed hiking on the adjacent ground trails.
What element(s) did you add to make the wedding uniquely 'yours'?
During our ceremony, our officiant told our personal story of how we met and why we were deciding to spend the rest of our lives together. The story made us laugh, cry and appreciate the moment we were sharing with our guests and each other.
Another integral part of the day is the wedding dress! Tell us about what you chose to wear. Did you follow the old English saying "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue"?
The dress I chose was from Janene's Bridal. It was simple yet pretty. It was fully laced, sleeveless and exactly what I wanted. Janene's Bridal was very patient with helping me through the selection process and made it fun as well!
Now that you are married and have had time to reflect on your wedding day, what was your favorite moment?
My favorite moment was when we said our wedding vows. That was when everything came full circle. All the months of planning were over and we were able to live in and fully enjoy the moment.
